The start of a world war comes the end of dueling. Once fashionable to learn in defense of a Family’s honor is now done only within sport, points and judging are what you are fighting for now.
In Foil fencing you have the torso to aim for and a lighter than a comfortable light sword. In Épée usually the second half of the match you have what is closer to an actual duel and the entire body to aim for and a good weight on your sword. The footwork is nothing to think about either. Maintaining the appropriate distance is what’s most important. Last there is Sabre style (as i call it) you have everything above the torso to aim for. You do not hit hands or the back of the neck if you do choose to do such things your deemed a jerk cause more often then not you mangle fingers into casts.
A sport you can go it alone or team up.
A sport worth the keeping and hope I don’t live past its extinction.
For it is a social art right along with being an art in sport.

Oh the ever changing music styles and music taste of our generation. Within that I feel that there are great composers, average,over paid,talented and skilled composers.
Composers that have a point to get acrossed a point to be made something to prove, Something to achieve.
With all of the overwhelming possibilities of what music is and where it comes from for people, will always be vastly different.
I find it a great relief when playing an album when It comes a crossed as if they have put all that aside.
Instead of concentrating so hard on the composition being the most sellable piece of music. An understandable ensemble. A piece of music better than anyone has done before, or the most catchy of tunes ya ever did hear.
It’s replaced with a feeling of comfortability and satisfaction of a composition being well constructed and skillfully then thoughtfully carried out.
Talent within the music realm can get so obnoxious, lazy and loud. A big bang and nothing to follow it up. The reliance on the luck of talent alone can get you in trouble.
Then there is the knowledge of talent and not a reliance that is combined with skill and a thirst for learning more. Things are drawn out from that and then ever so delightfully delivered.
